1. Appointment of Class Leaders:
Class representative. Substitute Class representative. Treasurer.
2. Profile cards:
All students have to fill them up (within the orientation week).
Two photos have to be given to your AA within the first week.
At the back of the profile card you have to write any medical condition that you may have. This will stay strictly confidential.
3. Copy of certificates:
You have to give a copy of your certificates. You have to file them. Will be needed for exemption. Special case for the Bahasa Melayu. The copies of the diplomas have to be certified downstairs at the One-Stop centre.
4. Exemptions:
(within the 1st week, you can apply for exemptions)
You will have to show proof. But it is not guaranteed.
Work-placement (you have to show proof). 6 months placement may get exemptions.
Bahasa Melayu: You have to wait for the official exemption. The exemption will be given by the One-Stop centre downstairs.
5. In the event you obtain an exemption:
No fees are to be paid for that subject.
Fees that have been paid will not be refundable, they will be carried forward to the following semester.
BUT.... as long as there is no exemption, you have to go in class!!!!!
6. Student fund:
RM 10 the first semester (Grapewine & students fund)
RM 5 the 2 following semester.
RM 0 for the last semester.
7. Holidays:
These are set by the school!!!
If you want to take more holidays, it is on your own account.
8. The days when you are sick:
You‘ll have to call KDU or your AA.
After your obtain your Medical Certificate, you have to submit a letter from your parents or your GP/doctor.
You’ll have to give a photocopy of this letter to all the lecturers whose classes you’ve missed.
9. Discipline:
NO VIOLENCE IS ALLOWED IN KDU.
If you raise your fist: You get terminated.

10. Attendance record:
80% attendance must be achieved, otherwise you’ll be barred.
11. Marks:
40% semester average must be achieved, in order to proceed to the next semester.
This is accumulative average of your grades and PA marks.
12. Uniform & dressing:
On Mondays: You have to wear your uniform:- Front office = formal. Kitchen = uniform (safety).
Before you get your uniform, you have to wear the KDU polo or white shirt.
And off course NO SLIPPERS!!!!
Your AA and lecturers will be strict on your dressing.
13. Respect lecturers:
Always greet all lecturers (anywhere you meet them) with respect, addressing them as
Mr, Ms, or Madam. (eg. Good morning Mr Bruno, or Good afternoon Ms Lopez).
This is regardless whether they are your lecturer or not.
